Many Americans are speaking about removing their children from government run schools and finding alternatives to an increasingly failing system. In lieu of the recent rash of school shootings, many parents feel that moving their children to another educational venue will help to protect them from crazed, lone gunman who are on psychotropic medications and are seeking to do harm to our children while attending school in gun free zones with no protection. In a few isolated incidences, this may be true. However, school shootings are such an isolated event, I am not sure how to protect against students other than by having armed guards on every campus in America. Aside from school violence, there are some other very compelling reasons that parents may want to consider when deciding where and how to educate their child. This is the first in a multi-part series which will clearly delineate the reasons why those in the know will never let their child darken the doors of the nation’s government schools.
Many American government run schools are largely becoming bastions of ignorance and underachievement. In short, many schools are not doing their job. School districts across America flirt with every new educational fad, most of which most are scientifically unproven when it comes to positively improving the academic performance of students, thus, resulting in an enormous waste in tax dollars. Subsequently, much is made of reforming the schools and improving student performance. On the surface, reforming the public schools is indeed needed when one considers that:
- Only 43 percent of all U.S. high school students have any idea the Civil War was fought in the 19th century.
- ·More than 65% of all U.S. high school students cannot find Great Britain on a map.
- Twelve percent of U.S. high school students cannot find the United States on a map.
- More than 25% of all U.S. high school students thought that Christopher Columbus made his famous voyage across the Atlantic Ocean after the year 1750.
- About 33% of all U.S. high school students do not know that the Bill of Rights guarantees freedom of speech, religion and due process.
- Only 55% of all U.S. students can name the Vice-President.
Yes, government schools are doing their job. They are producing students who are educated enough to greet you at Walmart, but too stupid to question authority with any meaningful resolve. Government schools are perpetuating a state of perpetual idiocracy.
What are parents to do about the epidemic underachievement of our government educated children? The short answer appears to be move. Move your children out of the government run schools. Or perhaps, move your children totally out of the country. This is not an outrageous statement when one considers that students in Latvia, Chile and Brazil are making gains in academics three times faster than American students and those in Portugal, Hong Kong, Germany, Poland, Liechtenstein, Slovenia, Colombia and Lithuania are improving at twice the rate states a recently published by Harvard University’s Program on Education Policy and Governance. The Harvard researchers estimate that the educational gains made by students in those 11 countries equate to about two years of learning.
The Harvard study found no relevant correlation between increasing the per-pupil spending and gains in test scores. In 2009, the U.S. spent more than $10,000 per student, ranging from $6,356 in Utah to $18,126 in New York. Utah graduates a higher percentage of its students than does New York. Yet, school funding is the number reason given by government officials to support the need to impose a property tax on American citizens. Property tax is one of the planks of the Communist Party.
Eric Rudner (1999) analyzed the test scores of over 20,000 American homeschooled students and found them to be exceptionally high with the median scores of homeschoolers placing in the 70th to 80th percentile. This is a mean difference of about 25% between homeschooled children and children educated in the government schools. Twenty five percent equates to three grade levels. Do you remember the Harvard study in which our foreign competitors were two grade levels ahead of American schools. The message is clear, close the government schools and home school the children.
Government schools are increasingly propagandizing our children. For example, the new unproven religion being worshipped in the government schools is environmentalism and global warming. Oops, I meant to say climate change, not global warming. I almost forgot that the global warming crowd changed their name when they got caught committing scientific fraud three years ago from hacked emails at East Anglia University in which researchers admitted, through their hacked emails, that global warming was a hoax. Yet, this is the new religion of the American educational system and the facts be damned.
The government schools are conditioning our children to accept a lower standard of living and to pay tribute to the global elite through carbon taxes. Universities like Arizona State University are now offering graduate degrees in sustainability based upon this pseudoscience. It is interesting to note that the President of Arizona State University is CFR member, Michael Crow. Crow is also an ex-CIA operative. This is just one small example of who is running the government schools at the supposed elite level.
One of the more compelling reasons to home school your children is because parents do not want their children going to school with this guy…
or with this guy…
And most reasonable parents certainly do not want their children obtaining their world view from this guy….

The standard American diet (sad) is encouraged to eat at govt schools as well. Go vegan.
As tragic as this horrific event was, a greater GOoD WILL come out of it; as more people awake from their slumber, and EXODUS out of BABLE-ON!
No wonder American students attending government run schools are academically behind students attending private schools, studying at home, or foreign students in other industrialized nations, with all the propaganda they’re being fed on a daily basis. So, with most of their school days spent with government propaganda, there isn’t sufficient time for these students to learn what they are supposed to learn: basics such as reading, writing, science, and mathematics.
Therefore, without sufficient knowledge and skills in these basic subjects, US students wind up graduating from the government run school setting totally unprepared for the business world, and, thus, unable to find good jobs. The only jobs – if any – that would be available to these graduates would be low wage service and menial jobs.
World view from this guy?
You mean one of the better educated presidents we’ve had in recent years? A scholar who taught constitutional law and helped those in need in Chicago?
The president who has raised two intelligent lovely girls?
I know he’s doing the president two step with all the corporations, military and other politicians, but has to.
Otherwise I believe getting your world view from someone like him is a good thing.
EDITOR’S NOTE
You mean the intellectual who destroyed the Constitution through the NDAA and the secret kidnappings of innocent Americans without due process. Are you talking about the intellectual who has doubled the debt? The intellectual who has kept us mired in an unsustainable war that is not warranted? You mean the President who wants to disarm the country in advance of his plans to implement martial law? Do you mean the intellectual who wants to further enslave America with debt and higher taxes. You mean the criminal who has continued to let the banksters loot our country of its resources? How silly of me! As the old saying goes, with friends like Obama, who needs enemies? Thanks for trolling.
I have some frightening personal experience with our schools and their difficulties. In 1998 I decided to return to school and become a teacher. I did my student teaching in my last semester in the Spring of 2001. Prior to this I had not been in a public school since I graduated from high school in 1976. I attended St. Joseph’s College on Long Island because it is reputed to be the best teacher’s college in NY and it was ten minutes from home at the time. Oddly enough, I found at this pricey private school that many of the “traditional” students (kids just out of high school) had a hard time reading and writing. When I did my semester of student teaching I found out why. In an upper middle class neighborhood on the south shore of eastern Long Island I was exposed to what is the product of the “whole language curriculum,” a new and modern approach to teaching children to read; high school students that are for the most part functionally illiterate. Rather than using the old method of phonetically sounding out words, this new method has children memorize individual words without understanding phonics at all. This effectively turns English into hieroglyphics. Hence, the success of the amazing new program you can buy for your child’s computer, “Hooked on Phonics.” What’s that you say, you don’t have a computer at home? A single mother? Welfare? You’re poor?!!!!! Well that’s too bad now isn’t it. There will no doubt be a fine future for your child in the exciting field of dealing Crack! As for the upper middle class kids on Long Island, their parents assume that they are learning because they bring home decent grades on their report cards. What they don’t know is that the only thing their kids are being graded on is the quiz they get on Friday. That would not be such a problem except that the teacher is giving them the questions, along with the correct answers on Thursday. I saw this with my own eyes. I was instructed by my supervising teacher (the Department Head no less) to give one kid an A on an extra credit assignment that he admitted he had copied off of a thesis paper he found on line. When he told me to give him the grade he winked at me. There are a few kids who are smart enough to have learned to read properly, and who do well enough to go on to higher education and succeed there, but at least two thirds were incapable of reading and writing above a fifth or sixth grade level. I was told by a friend of mine that he remembers this “whole language curriculum” was for some reason a matter of contention in the US Congress in the 1980s and that then Senator Daniel Moynihan said that if introduced in the schools it would cause the “downfall of the United States.” If this is true, the senator was absolutely right. The truly awful part of all of this is that it had to have been done intentionally. Take away the ability to read and you take away the ability to learn. When Mr. Hodges says that our schools are perpetuating a state of “idiocracy” he is right on the money. The elite are creating a huge underclass of drones that ask few questions, accept whatever nonsense is drilled into their chemically altered and minimally educated heads by a constant onslaught of state controlled media drivel, and most importantly obey without question. Home schooling is difficult for most people. I am not familiar with the laws in most states, but I believe there are educational requirements of parents who home school that may be difficult or impossible for most people unless they have prepared themselves in advance. If you cannot home school your kids, what you can do is teach them how to read yourself. If your kids can read and write, then no matter how inept their teachers are (remember, most of them will be the product of the whole language system themselves) they will have a fighting chance of graduating with some semblance of an education.

Every American who has a child in public school needs to read this book. Crises in The Classroom by Charles Silberman. This book was introduced in 1970 and concisely shows what has always been wrong in the curriculum in school. Originally Silberman wanted to publish his work as Murder in The Classroom, his publisher would not allow it. It’s time now and always has been the need to object policies that are not working. They are indeed slaying the minds of our children. For God’s sake we the people still rights we are not implementing.
Dr. Roy Masters, a great radio host and psychologist advised taking your kids out of public schools 25 years ago. In fact, he was reported to have said that any parent that keeps their kids in public school is guilty of child abuse.
The ignorant irresponsible uncaring mongrels of AmeriKa use public schools as babysitters. Getting tens of millions of vain incompetent fools who breed like maggots to do this would be totally impossible. It will NEVER happen in large numbers. NEVER.
And NO I have no children. I was smarter than that.

What has not been mentioned is that so much time is being spent on gender, racial and sexual identity classes and multiculturalism. In California, it is now mandated that homosexual history be taught. How much time is wasted on these useless classes? The Constitution and Bill of Rights are no longer taught. Have not been for a long time.
Students in America are also woefully behind in both science and math compared to the rest of the industrialized nations. I read recently that the average I.Q. of Americans is approximately 17% below that of Chinese. Students from these so-called public schools are being betrayed by those in Washington for the purpose of creating a dumbed down populace of robots, barely able to read and write, with just enough education to punch a time clock at McD and take a customer’s change.
Education is mocked by Hollywood( run by jews) and everywhere on television. Students no longer strive for excellence as it is considered not cool and those that do excel are often targets for derision and even violence.
Small wonder the public school system in America is failing, but that also speaks volumes about those parents who still send their children to these government run brainwashing centers.
The future of America is now in doubt.
Ignorance is the worst enemy of freedom and liberty.
