SHOCK: Drug overdose deaths now kill more Americans every year than the entire Vietnam War… after Democrats refused to protect the border from drug cartels

Image: SHOCK: Drug overdose deaths now kill more Americans every year than the entire Vietnam War… after Democrats refused to protect the border from drug cartels

(Natural News) For the last eight years, Democrats allowed drug smugglers and drug cartels to run rampant across the U.S. border, hoping to invite in a sufficient number of illegal aliens to make sure a Democrat could win the presidential election (through illegal voting, of course). The America-hating Democrats lost the election, but the social cost of their “open borders” lunacy will be felt for years to come. (See also The Left’s Descent to Fascism for more background on the deeper cost to society of the Left’s embrace of fascism and treason.)

One of the most devastating costs of the Democrats’ open borders policy is the widespread trafficking of illicit drugs across the U.S. border, effectively flooding the heartland with dangerous chemical substances that destroy lives. Those chemicals are now killing more Americans every year than the entire Vietnam War.

According to an analysis report published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, overdose deaths from illicit drugs have reached war-like levels of annual deaths:

  • 47,055 drug overdose deaths in 2014 (61% involving opioids)
  • 52,404 drug overdose deaths in 2015 (63% involving opioids)

(Data were not yet available for 2016.)

The drugs cited for causing the overdose deaths are many of the same drugs brought into the United States by Mexican drug cartels, using smuggling routes that were left largely undefended by the Obama administration, which sought to leave America’s borders wide open for political purposes:

  • natural/semisynthetic opioids
  • methadone
  • heroin
  • synthetic opioids

“A multifaceted, collaborative public health and law enforcement approach is urgently needed” to stem the growing epidemic, urges the CDC report, yet Democrats have systematically opposed any substantial support of police, Border Patrol or any law enforcement body that would substantially reduce the inflow of these addictive, dangerous substances into the United States. (Related: Find more news about drug addiction at Addiction.news.)

In other words, just to keep winning elections, the Democrats have allowed a deadly drug war to be waged on the American people by drug cartels that largely originate from South of the border. Just to get Hillary Clinton elected, the Democrats subjected America to Vietnam War levels of carnage, suffering and death. That’s how much the Democrats despise America (and are willing to do anything to attain political power).

Big Pharma’s chemical rampage of opioid deaths across America

“The ongoing epidemic of opioid deaths requires intense attention and action,” warns the CDC report, which also points out the role of Big Pharma and the overprescription of addictive opioids. Yet the Obama administration did absolutely nothing to reel in the domineering power of the “legal” drug cartels in America: the pharmaceutical industry. While Americans are dying by the tens of thousands, Big Pharma is reaping a windfall of profits from addictive opioids. Follow the saga of opioids at OPIOIDS.news.

For eight years under Obama, the Democrats sold out America to both the pharmaceutical giants and the Mexican drug cartels, and now we’re paying a devastating price across society. The loss of productive lives, the addiction treatment costs and the law enforcement burden are all adding enormous economic burdens to cities and states that are already drowning in debt.

At the same time, treasonous, lunatic Leftists declared their cities to be “sanctuary cities” to actually harbor violent criminals and drug dealers, further adding to the scourge of drug deaths now devastating Americans across the country. (Question: When will President Trump arrest the mayors who openly violate immigration law and harbor violent criminals under the treasonous scheme of “sanctuary?”)

President Trump, Jeff Sessions and DHS Secretary John Kelly are now left to clean up the enormous mess created by Obama and lawless Democrats

The upshot of all this is that this enormous problem with drug deaths has been dumped in President Trump’s lap. Fortunately for us, DHS Secretary John Kelly appears to be taking this problem seriously. In prepared remarks delivered at George Washington University, Kelly rips into the enormity of the drug smuggling / drug cartels fiasco left behind by Obama, promising to finally allow law enforcement to take aim at the flow of these illicit street drugs that are killing tens of thousands.

[T]he damage TCOs [Transnational Criminal Organizations] do is not only violence and potential terror. It is also vast tonnages of marijuana and hard drugs—cocaine, heroin, counterfeit opiates, fentanyl, and meth amphetamines—they smuggle across our borders to feed both the recreational and addictive U.S. drug demand,” Kelly said. His remarks continue:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the U.S. Coast Guard all bear witness to the massive quantity of drugs TCOs are bringing to our homeland every day—with devastating consequences.

In 2015, which is the most recent data we have, there were 52,404 [1] deaths in the United States caused by a drug overdose.

It’s the highest number of drug-related deaths our country has ever seen. It’s more deaths than the peak of the AIDS epidemic in 1995 [2]. In a single year, we’ve lost nearly as many Americans to drug overdose as we lost in battle in World War I [3]. Almost as many as was lost in 12 years in Vietnam.

And that’s just overdose deaths. That number—as high as it is—says nothing about the long-term health damage to our citizens who survive, to say nothing about the human misery, the families ripped apart, and the extremes of crime and violence inherent in the illegal-drug enterprise.

We still need to educate the Trump administration about the remarkable benefits of non-psychoactive hemp extracts (CBD)

Frustratingly, Kelly goes on to denounce marijuana as a “gateway drug” without making a distinction between non-psychoactive CBD products vs. high-THC (psychoactive) marijuana, saying, “DHS personnel will continue to investigate marijuana’s illegal pathways along the network into the U.S., its distribution within the homeland, and will arrest those involved in the drug trade according to federal law.”

Nevertheless, it’s refreshing to finally see someone at DHS who is actively seeking to thwart drug cartels and drug smuggling into the United States. It may take far more than eight years under President Trump, however, to finally get a grip on this massive problem that’s been allowed to fester under Obama and the Democrats.

While much of the so-called “War on Drugs” is a total sham and a complete waste of money, filling our prisons with non-violent marijuana users, the problem of heroin smuggling and hard drugs from Mexican drug cartels is a very serious and costly problem that must be urgently dealt with. We must also, of course, deal with Big Pharma’s opioid epidemic and the mass over-prescribing of such dangerous drugs by corrupt doctors who are routinely bribed by drug companies across America.

Stop the drug war with objective of shutting down the black market. The drug war has failed. The drug war is driving the problems, not fixing them. Decriminalization/legalization is necessary, it needs to be backed up with public health announcements explaining exactly why it is needed. Its not in any way condoning the abuse of addictors, it is done bc the alternative, the drug war, has made things infinitely worse on almost every level, to include making drugs abundantly available to any & all that wants them.
We need to pull LE out of the drug biz – that will free up a lot of resources currently chasing their collective tails. When the laws create more harm and cause more damage than they prevent, its time to change the laws. The $1 TRILLION so-called war on drugs is a massive big government failure – on nearly every single level. Its way past time to put the cartels & black market drug dealers out of business. Mass incarceration has failed. We cant even keep drugs out of a contained & controlled environment like prison.
We need the science of addiction causation to guide prevention, treatment, recovery & public policies. Otherwise, things will inexorably just continue to worsen & no progress will be made. Addiction causation research has continued to show that some people (suffering with addiction) have a “hypo-active endogenous opioid/reward system.” This is the (real) brain disease, making addiction a symptom, not a disease itself. One disease, one pathology. Policy must be made reflecting addiction(s) as the health issue that it is.
The war on drugs is an apotheosis of the largest & longest war failure in history. It actually exposes our children to more harm & risk and does not protect them whatsoever. In all actuality, the war on drugs is nothing more than an international projection of a domestic psychosis. It is not the “great child protection act,” its actually the complete opposite. Let’s remember, opioids (drug) prohibition is a historical and cultural aberration, just 100 years old. We had fewer drug problems in my own grandparents’ time when opium, morphine, heroin, cocaine and cannabis could all still be bought legally over the counter. (Re)legalizing opioids would not be a “risky social experiment,” as some think. On the contrary, drugs prohibition was the reckless social experiment. And its a massive failure. Alcohol prohibition didn’t work, and opioid prohibition is failing even more miserably. The longer we’ve had drug prohibition laws in place, the worse have the social and health problems they cause gotten.
The lesson is clear: Drug laws do not stop people from harming themselves, but they do cause addicts to commit crimes and harm others. We need a new approach that decriminalizes the disease. We must protect society from the collateral damage of addiction and stop waging war on ourselves. We need common sense harm reduction approaches desperately. MAT (medication assisted treatment) and HAT (heroin assisted treatment) must be available options. Of course, MJ should not be a sched drug at all.  Every human being is precious, worthy of love and belonging, and deserves opportunities to fulfill his or her potential regardless of past trauma, mental and emotional anguish, addictive behaviors or mistakes made.

Two years ago, Al-CIA-duh delivered GMO heroin seeds a company in New Zealand patent in 2002. Am I the o nly one that thinks the rise in Opioid death the last year is because opioids are full of pesticides?

The same thing the Rothschild East India Company had done in the past by forcing the importation of opium into CHina during the 1800s. The result was a dumbed down , drugged up and lazy Chinese population . THe reason why the Boxer’s Rebellion happened in 1900 as the Chinese were fed up being poisoned for too long.

More dangerous drugs coming in across the southern border while Big Pharma keep pumping their synthetic methadone, ritalin , oxycodone, and mandatory vaccines , etc by their witch pediatricians and doctors. Thats what happening in America, a society under the satanic spell of Babylon. Its dejavu again .

Best these people are out of society anyway and in the morgue, less gangs, dealers and users walking the streets and alleys. Robbery, muggings or worse will be less when they die from OD. Losers and bums too lazy to work and be productive.

The Khazars will eliminate the goyim any way they can. Truth be told, these people who die from recreational drugs are playing with Fire and made the choice to do so. It’s still a matter of choice and doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the downside. I’m sure some of these people are vegan and refuse animal products because they believe them to be poison but will inject the most vile things into their bloodstream. These are those that believe the lie. If God doesn’t wake them up, it’s sure we can’t help them, although, based on Ezekiel 33, we are required to warn as a watchman.

Mike, you should not blame the democrats but rather the rogue elements of our government that operate behind the scenes. I am not defending the left as I am a libertarian. I am aware that this is not a left vs. right issue. Blaming the left props up the right/left paradigm which needs to be replaced with we the people vs. the criminal oligarchs.

George Bush sr. did more to aid and abet the drug trafficking than anyone. You must surely know that rogue elements of our intelligence communities (non-partisan as far as I know) have done more to bring illegal drugs into this country than any other single source. I could list at least 8 credible whistle blowers who have shed light on this fact. Most came out of the CIA or DEA. It’s been said that hundreds of billions worth of illegal drug money gets laundered in the big Wall Street banks. I am sure you have heard of Beau Abbott, Chip Tatum, Michael Ruppert, Robert Tosh Plumlee, Alfred McCoy and Anabel Hernandez to name just a few credible people who have shed light on the issue. They all say the CIA and DEA are helping to bring the illegal drugs into this country. This is just one of the many ELEPHANTS in the living room that doesn’t get enough attention.

  11. Heinrich Mueller April 21, 2017 at 9:27 am

Marijuana is not addictive and cures cancer, i.e. it is illegal, because it does not create enough revenue for the money changers. Heroin generates money for the C.I.A. and the Banksters and that is why President Kushner is not going to stop it. His Democrat friends like Soros would lose money and thereby he would too.

  12. The distinguished Gentleman April 22, 2017 at 4:17 pm

Mueller correct….actually repubs under Reagan allowed CIA to smuggle cocaine through mexican border this was approved by AG WILLIAM FRENCH SMITH. Today CIA making big money on AFGHANISTAN heroin protected by US military. Drugs are the biggest moneymaker for US government and has probably bought off entire Congress years ago.
