US Education Discriminates Against the Poor and Minorities

Recently, I published a piece which said that we never really own our because we are forced to pay property taxes, one of the planks of the Communist Manifesto. Private property should never be taxed because this means the government will be ultimate owner of your property.

Since that publication, I have produced a short documentary on why our education system is racist and favors affluent people, most of whom are white. And don’t blame the white people, this is the product of the rich and powerful who select the politicians who will represent them. And the George Soros’ of the Deep State celebrate the resulting racial division.

Property Taxes Are Discriminatory

The current education system, the way it is managed by the governed by the government is racist and favors the children of the wealthy, who are pimarily white. Keep in mind I have strongly criticized George Soros and his types for inventing racial conflict in this country. I am a conservative, but in education, we are funding neighborhood schools in a manner that favors the rich.

The primary funding mechanism is property taxes. Why is this a problem? Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Is there a correlation between race and poverty in this country? If so, wealthier neighborhoods get better schools when primarily supported by property taxes.
  2. Why would a fair-minded nation ever support a funding mechanism for schools that favors the rich and by default, victimized many children of color?

When I pointed out these inequities, here was a response I received from a recently created video.

I do not agree with public education. We have become too use to the government taking care of us. The feds need to be taken out of education and return the education to the states and parents on local level. Let’s stop the socialist mentality.

I agree with one point made by Sara Shepherd. The Department of Education should be abolished. It is unconstitutional.  But this person did not consider the fact that the local funding mechanism is racist, and remember, I am a conservative saying this. Sara totally ignored the funding inequities I raised and responded with  a “to hell with them” attitude. Here was my response to Sara.

How then do kids from tough backgrounds get educated? Where’s your compassion? A desire to have a level playing field? You may not like socialism, but you must love feudalism and that is what your attitude will bring. I hope for your kids sake, you have $$$ to privately educate them. But for the grace of God go I…… Having been a college basketball coach, I have seen the backgrounds that some black and Latino kids come from. I witnessed the transformation in their lives just because they could shoot a basketball and they got an education as a result.  I coached many so-called  “ghetto kids”  who became very successful. Many became teachers, coaches, lawyers, accountants and some run their own businesses. When we make funds available to effectively teach the poor,  amazing things happen. And since most people in poverty, over 65%, are minorities, a system of education supported by property taxes is not fair and discriminates against people of all races that are poor. However, it hits more people of color than not.

What about poor black and Latino kids who are not good at sports and don’t have a chance to go to college because they cannot afford it or their inferior neighborhood school did not prepare them adequately? Who levels their playing field? It wont be the racists who support the current system.

Doesn’t God command us to love ALL people? If we love all people, we would care about their future and not support the current system, which has historically driven minorities to the “promise you everything” Democratic Party. And who can blame minorities for flocking to the Democrats, even if they are being promised fools gold?

The answer to this problem is a voucher, equally applied to all, that can used to attend any school. And please spare me the “you must home school your child”. I agree it is often a good option. However, it is not a practical, universal solution.

Here is the video that sparked the controversy.

Many say that public education is broken and should be done away with. However, these same people never have a practical solution to help all of our children be the most that they can be.  What’s the answer?  If you have a better idea, that does not promote opporunity based on economic inequality, then please enlighten me.

Since 2000 Dallas ISD offered full boat scholarships to all Hispanics for two years of college. All they had to do is apply and it didn’t matter whether they were legal or illegal – everyone qualified. Then for the black students, they also had their own scholarship program. What did the white or Asian students get? Nothing, zero, zip from the state level. Thank goodness for Federal Pell grants, which is colored blind. In my world that is called discrimination. The majority of the aforementioned minority getting a free ride were too lazy to even apply. Pathetic.

How was the property tax money distributed? It was put into a pool of funds and distributed equally among all the campuses in the district. Yet many of the buildings fell into disrepair, students were not given books just a class set, and every single white Conservative teacher run out of the district on a rail under the umbrella of being culturally insensitive and replaced with minority teachers. So what happened to the money? Ask the administrators sitting in prison or teachers fired for misappropriation of funds. What happened to the education level of the students? It plummeted into the toilet and violence increased exponentially, which brought in Obama’s sweep the problems under the rug policy turning out high schools rapists, thieves, drug addicts and murders on an unsuspecting public. Parents that could afford it, pulled their children and put them in private schools. Good for them and it doesn’t matter whether it was a city or rural school. The results is the same.

I did the analysis when Stanford released its numbers on the free boat scholarships offered to minority students. Half didn’t even bother to apply. If they did apply, some 30% quit by the end of the first semester. More attrition after the first year, with only a dismal 10% making it to graduation. The excuses ranged from no day care. So they gave them day care. Then it was transportation. They gave them bus and rail passes. Then it was the work was too hard. Bingo, if you screw off from head start through 12, you can’t possibly meet the dumbed down standards of a university and keep up with your fictitious social justice.

All sympathy is now out the window and for good reason. All of this money came from property taxes based on over inflated tax appraisals and grants through over taxation of paychecks. Now these people are selling their homes and finding out that they don’t sell until the home is under the assessment value. A few area exceptions noted. Every body said throw lots of money at the education problem and it will be solved. It didn’t happen despite two decades of head start, pre-K, regular classes, tutoring, ESL classes, night school, in-school self-paced learning centers, summer school, free laptops or tablets, free daycare, free lunches and breakfast during the academic year and then all summer. Heck they don’t even need to show up, because a six pack of vegetables for the food drives wipes out two days of absences for each can without the parents ever knowing they missed class. Just look at all the campuses reporting 97% attendance rates – it is all a fallacy as teachers sit up into the wee hours of morning grading all the late assignments the night before grades are due, because the teacher, not the student, is penalized by having to take extra staff development if their failure rate is greater than 3 to 5 percent. It is insane.

Learning takes dedication and resolve in one’s mental make up to do the hard work. The majority do not even like learning, because it saves them thinking. So why should the small percentage of students that really want to learn regardless of social status and economic situation be denied an education from pre-K through college. Give them a voucher and let them learn at an institution that really educates instead of being held back by the majority of misfits, who don’t seem to care about themselves, society or even their future. They have been given plenty of chances to succeed over the last two decades and the majority of the minority never stepped up to the plate exhibiting any amount of accountability or responsibility. Perhaps these students will get sick and tired of being sick and tired, open a book and start reading or they can keep doing what they are doing, which is basically nothing, and be replaced by a robot. The choice is theirs to make as time is passing them by.

Solution: Online learning at home. These students have been given the technology and it is time they use it without distraction from their peers under the supervisor of their parent(s) or community centers, which again were funded with taxpayer money. Yes, it is time to close down the campuses. It is also time to stop fleecing the property owners especially as the greatest majority are moving into poverty level retirement and facing monthly tax bills that will eat up almost half of their social security check. States granting seniors property tax deferments until their deaths makes the statement “your children will grow up bankrupt on the land our ancestors founded” is sadly true.

Our forefathers said “only free PRIMARY education for poor youth at the public expense and then those youths showing distinguished capacity whose parents are too poor to defray the expense should be carried forward at the public expense.” (Madison papers 1822 and reiterated 1830.) They never said every one shall get the privilege of a full education. Why? Because these great thinkers saw where education could one day take away “from the laws of inheritance”, which is exactly what homeowners are facing today with exorbitant property taxes. Education was also to instill patriotism and assimilation. The nation has failed itself by taking competition out of learning and producing unpatriotic slugs that won’t assimilate. The same slugs demanding reparations on a bill paid in full by a government over extending the intent of our forefathers in regards to education on property owners’ backs and paychecks.

Lastly I do agree that the Department of Education is unconstitutional and should be disbanded immediately returning the authority to the people.

When I discovered this system in my 20’s and figured out why the richest counties also had the “best” schools, I wondered the same thing. I was incredulous that we funded local schools at the county level through property taxes. I had an easy solution:

Roll up a portion of county property taxes to the state level and reapportion to the cities based on population. This would even out the excess in some counties and provide a level playing field in terms of school infrastructure.

I also could never figure out why these bloated federal government departments were allowed to continue. Just stop funding them. It’s right in the movie, Office Space.

“We just stop paying his salary. Problem solved.”

Alas, these were just naive ideas of youth. I’ve come to realize that government is nothing more that institutionalized crime. You think the mob bosses in government are going to do something fair? Think again when their enforcers come for you. We do it their way, not the right way.

There are sooo many angles to Public Ed. – in particular as a vehicle of brainwashing. With rampant political correctness, discipline goes down the drain b/c one cannot discipline minorities. (I did teach in the Pub.Schools awhile ago.) The argument presented presents just one aspect of a very complex part of US society. In my view the only option is homeschooling, or try to find a private, religious or charter school that is not a racket. The dems had their chance with inner cities etc – they made no improvements.

  10. Jeff May 16, 2018 at 2:46 pm

This may be news to Dave, but there are more poor White people in American then poor so-called minorities. In 40 years Non whites will be the majority and Whites the minority in the US. Then with and threw the so-called “Democratic process”, Whites in American will experience first hand what the Whites in the former Rhodesia and whites in present South Africa are facing, extinction.
No Dave. not all children can be equally educated. Every child brings to the table different sets of capabilities and IQ levels. Most H.S. graduates should not go to college. Besides stacking up debt they cannot pay off from their college loans. Many who are “educated” in college come out with mostly useless degrees, if they make it that far, that a high tech society has no use for.
Add to all that, the elites are allowing low 65-75 IQ people to immigrate, legal and illegal into the country, who will convert their new living areas into the conditions from which they came.
No matter how much money the states throw at the education system, with the Feds shoveling in their part, attempting to give all children an “equal” education is pure Communism and will reduce all children, except those children of the top elite, that is if they have any children, to the lowest common denominator, which is what is happening right now. Every one must to equal you know.

  11. Tomtom May 16, 2018 at 6:12 pm

Forget Ed. secretary Devos,Trump should pass an executive order to consolidate ALL public school districts , in their respective states, and distribute school taxes collected in each state, to every school district individually, based on average student attendance. In this way ,the quality of each school in each state, will reach parity very quickly, and then can be truly called “public” education. Those with the means, may pay for the cost to consider “private” schooling.State school revenues received through taxation should be equally apportioned , based on attendance, to be considered truly “PUBLIC”.,,,,Of course ,what are the chances of this “pipe dream” happening??

  12. Stan S. May 17, 2018 at 12:13 am

I like your articles, Dave, but you are reflexively shooting from the hip on this issue. Public education paid for by property taxes is NOT “racially motivated”. It was the best way that people years ago could think of to pay for education for their kids – to tax the property of property holders in the community who were the people who made up that community. And then the state can help out, to some extent; and the federal government as well, to some extent, since these are the children of U.S. citizens, not just the citizens of their respective states. But to characterize this as “racially motivated” is to play into the hands of those who are attempting to bring this country down.

Stop and think: Your way of thinking wold lead to the collectivists’s ‘thinking’ (read, more accurately: cynical argument) that states should not require photo ID cards for the citizen to vote, because they cost money, and therefore the requirement impacts more heavily on minorities, because the poor have more minorities among their numbers, and so that is a “racially motivated” practice of the state. I say: Hogwash. It is not the INTENT of the requirement. The requirement’s intent is to cut down on voter fraud. This is not a form of discrimination, except as in discriminating between bone fide citizens and non-citizens.

Be careful of your arguments, Dave. They can turn around and bite you in the bum. Especially when there are lots of bums out there, who would love to do just that, to conservatives. : .

  13. Aragorn May 17, 2018 at 5:54 am

The system is anti White, pure and simple, haven’t heard I guess that (minorities) (Whites are the real global minority ) get free goodies aka affirmative action, so please enough of the virtue signaling. Diversity just doesn’t work, it goes well beyond George Sore Ass.

  14. Muff Potter May 17, 2018 at 6:29 am

“Be all you can be” and meanwhile everyone gets sprayed with a lobotomizing dose of chemtrails daily but hey no one wants to confront or talk about that. Just keep inhaling your lithium and aluminum all the way into the dementia grave.

  15. GuideStoneWreckingCrew May 17, 2018 at 9:25 am

If the question is: how property taxes can be equally divided for local school funding, without being racially divided, then maybe the answer could/should be a ‘fair tax’ solution.

I’m not a fan of the voucher program. Mainly because the more popularity a school will generate, the higher number of students it will have to make accommodations for. Then the problem becomes “we’ve out-grown our school and need a new bigger one”, then expect us to vote in favor of raising our taxes to pay for it.

The possibility of one school being sought out by a certain group over another school, would result in unequal enrollment. Maybe the upper-middle and higher income parents will be able to pay for the transportation and the before/after school daycare program. Those on the mid to lower income scale will not. They will stay where they are regardless of a voucher. Be it racial, economic or social reasons, it could lead to the less popular schools closing doors.

I just know that real reform, meaningful repeals, local control, parental involvement and less government…sounds like a really good idea. Let’s not keep going down the socialist experiment road to ruin.

  16. Josh May 17, 2018 at 11:10 am

All you have to do ti dispel the discrimination myth is to look at the videos posted day after day of the fights that rage in inner city schools, at least some of the students do not want to learn, they want to gangsta rap. This isn’t a discrimination issue, it’s a culture issue. If there’s any discrimination inside inner city schools it’s by students who view education, learning, even reading as being “white” and racist and repressive. Until the cultural issues are recognised by those who dwell in that culture, why would anything change? If you bus children who want to learn to schools populated by students who have no desire to learn, those who wish to learn will suffer. If you bus those who do not wish to learn to schools populated by students who do wish to learn, they will suffer because of the culture being made apparent by the students who do not wish to learn. The schools use the same books,l the same standards, the same monies wasted, and yet people say the reason inner city schools fail is because of racism.

    On the question of how should the black community look at the constitution, read “negros in negroland” for the reason why the founding fathers viewed slaves as less than fully human. Negors in negroland is a book containing excerpts from the works of explorers in Africa who recorded their experiences, and in some places in Africa barely anything has changed from the day to day horrors depicted as the norm. Here’s a link to the archive.org versions of negros in negroland;
    https://archive.org/details/negroesinnegrola00helpiala

While the work may have been written by those who feel there is a biological difference or superiority between human beings that prevent anyone from learning anything they desire, I disagree. We are all created in the image of Yahshuah and his father, YHWH.

  17. Josh May 17, 2018 at 11:14 am

    Here’s ju7st a hint at the horrors described in negros in negroland;

    CANNIBALISM IN NEGROLAND.

” IT is plain, from all history, that two abominable practices,
the one the eating of men, the other of sacrificing them to the
devil, prevailed all over Africa. The India trade, as we have
seen in very early ages, first established the buying and selling of
slaves ; since that time, the eating of men, or sacrificing them,
has so greatly decreased on the eastern side of the peninsula, that
now we scarcely hear of an instance of either of these that can be
properly vouched. On the western part, towards the Atlantic
Ocean, where the sale of slaves began a considerable time later,
after the discovery of America and the West Indies, both of these
horrid practices are general.” Bruce’s Africa, Vol. I., page 393.

“The common food of the natives of Ansiko is men’s flesh,
insomuch that their markets are provided with that, as ours in
Europe with beef or mutton : all prisoners of war, unless they can
sell them alive with greater advantage, otherwise, as we said,
they fatten them for slaughter, and at last sell them to the butchers.
To this savage barbarity they are so naturalized, that some slaves,
whether as weary of their lives, or to show their love to their
masters, will proffer themselves freely to be killed and eaten.
But that which is most inhuman, and beyond the ferocity of beasts,
is, that the father scruples not to eat his son, nor the son his father,
nor one brother the other, but take them by force, devouring their
flesh, the blood yet reeking hot between their teeth.” Ogilby’s
    Africa, page 518. “

oh sure, I come from a sanctuary state where white people average 2 children and work. And we have hoards of families coming here and having 6 children and we are supposed to take from the responsible people and give it to the lawbreakers.

Central Falls, RI. is a great example where the kids who are mostly minorities simply refuse to learn the curriculum and their response is that they’d rather just stay on welfare, watch tv and live in the hood.

  19. Bruce Wayne May 17, 2018 at 6:35 pm

in response to 81 year old John, my email address is [email protected] and I have heard of many cases such as yours and some of them can be fought back depending on who it is that ordered the asset seizure of your property and whether or not they gave you sufficient time to respond to orders to abate said property’s. There pattern has been a pattern of state and local officials giving very short notice which, in turn, violates your rights to the free use of property under zoning laws. There are also grandfather laws and if the boards choose to, they can take your property by imminent domain, they generally need to compensate you for it. They can not just change the zoning and take your stuff.

Most often, some local power hungry and greedy individual or group is responsible for such actions and they feel that you probably can’t afford to take them to court

I’d be curious to know where you are and if you can name any such power hungry individuals as well as any notice they may claim they have given you. If they have violated your rights you may be able to place a lean on their properties and force the whole issue into a bargaining stage. Such individuals will not want to go to court to release those leans for fear of the abuse of your rights to be heard by a judge and compensation ordered before the lean on their property is released.

and once the private companies own the schools, there will be no school boards (redress of grievances) but rather “charters”…. there will be no representation. whatever investors own the schools, own the children. in comes big saudi money or whatever. out goes neighborhood schools and people knowing each other. I get the concept of “competitive schools” but these vouchers are going to morph…. you’ve been warned.

  21. Smart guy May 17, 2018 at 11:04 pm

the problem with income taxation is that income tax relies on the honesty of the citizen. This leads to the employee being taxed whereas the business owner can avoid taxation. The employer deducts the taxation from the employee but has to tax himself. Property tax is the oldest form of taxation. The Lords owned all the property and had to pay the tax. They would meet in Parliament to determine if the king was worthy to get the tax. The serfs would pay rent to the Lords they did not pay tax. Income tax was invented by Karl Marx. “The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Sales tax was invented by Liberals. Sales tax depends on the honesty of businesses. Sales tax can be avoided in this country by buying your gas on an Indian Rez. Property tax is the best way to tax people, it cannot be avoided. Property tax was NOT invented by communists but by the King. The Chinese serfs had to pay their tax in rice. After paying their tax they would starve, sometimes they would stave to death. Because of that they hated the land owners and became communists. About 60 million land owners were executed by the communists. Property taxation is not equal as you say. However, why should it be forced to be equal? Why should richer districts be forced to subsidize poorer districts? Your proposal is communism. The Tenth commandment. Thou shalt not covert thy neighbor’s wealth. Spending more on minorities education will solve the problem? I doubt it. If education is a question of personal talent then the more talented will rise to the top. Every musician knows that music is a gift, no amount of teaching can teach the ungifted to become musicians. If this is true in education then no amount of education can teach some how to become an electrician. High tech is the future. The Chinese are smart enough to be part of the future but what about the other minorities? what proof do you have that other minorities are gifted enough to become high tech engineers? Believe it or not Koreans have the highest IQ in the world. Because we are trying to “level the playing field” we will abandon the talented. Whereas, if the Chinese reward the talented, they will surpass us in technology and we will be playing second fiddle. The Chinese are evolutionists not believers in creation. Evolution teaches us that some are smarter than others. Confucius kept the Chinese in a state of backwardness, whereas the westernization of China has led to enormous progress in technology. Some Chinese generals are preaching that the Chinese are the “Master Race” There is not much difference between Communism and National Socialism. Communism teaches egalitarianism whereas National Socialism teaches the superiority of the more evolved. and the necessity of supporting the more gifted in education. All Socialists preach that the future lies in the children. The capitalist society preaches that the future belongs to the rich and is therefore a form of idolatry. If there is a creator Evolution is part of creation. If the wicked lose and the righteous win then that is part of the evolutionary process. .
