Walmart’s Creepy Shopping Carts Invade Your Privacy Walmart is getting new shopping carts. They are creepy beyond belief. You will not believe what these shopping carts can do. We’ve been encouraged to steer clear of Target b/c of the stand on “bathroom” issues. Though I do not agree with what every corporation does I still have to purchase items. Walmart is my husband’s employer. You encouraging the public to not shop b/c they are being revealed as a company doing “creepy” things could in the end cost families their only source of income. What about all the other companies that have not been exposed. You might say, “Go find another place of employment”; well, when you are over 65 not too many people want to hire. Why not just encourage the people to keep their eyes wide open. Remember, we are in the world but not of it. Let’s not chop our nose off to spite our face. Thanks for the information. The word we have heard on those shopping carts is that it will give the company an idea on what is upsetting the customer to help fix the problem…Experience reminds us that no company or person for that matter is going to tell/show their whole hand if they intend on doing something wrong – your cell phone is one of those things that have crossed the line; yet, the world is still hooked to them. Thank you for showing issues that arise, but for the families who need their jobs(and are not doing anything illegal, immoral, or ungodly), please offer suggestions that will not cripple those said families; they are just workers who work incredibly hard to serve the public. laura ann October 14, 2018 at 4:28 am Take a paper towel or cloth and cover over the device on the cart. We shop at Wal Mart because we are not wealthy or making six figures a year. Mainly shop at Publix and get certain things at W.M. – paper products, cleaning items, and toiletries, certain food items all that cost less. We quit Sam’s, poor cust. svc. I will watch or hear if they talk about plumbing problems or closing to fix them. Regina L Crigger October 14, 2018 at 10:06 am The sensor is in the handle. I use a push /pull cart all day at work so when I shop, I pull my cart. I’m able to move faster through the aisles and can see around the corners.Switch back and forth at your own convenience. It saves time and will interfere with data collection. Anita October 15, 2018 at 4:00 am Women should go retro and wear pretty white gloves when shopping! Glenn October 15, 2018 at 7:18 am Walmart is the only store that can compete against Amazon.
